Last year around this time, one of my friends commissioned a piece of art from you, as a christmas present to my girlfriend and me; I was wondering if you'd be okay with us using it as the splash page image for our new website. It wont be used for anything commercial, and would be credited to you on the site.

If so, is there any particular way you'd like me to credit you (real name vs lj name/email vs website address?).
